The Australian College of Kahuna Sciences
offers training in five Nationally accredited courses
leading to:
- Certificate IV in Kahuna Bodywork (Relaxation)

Graduates of any of the above qualifications qualify
for membership with professional industry associations.
Kahuna Bodyworkers can apply for membership with the Kahuna Training
Guild Australia Inc.
The Kahuna hands-on workshops at cert IV level can be attended
by people looking for personal, physical or spiritual development
without seeking qualification.
Blended learning incorporates a variety
of methods, including e-learning, home studies, face to face
classes, and group work.
This flexible structure allows students
to take an active and constructive role in their own learning,
e.g. by exploring
workbooks
supplied for the subjects to prepare
for assessments.
Participation in Kahuna Sciences exercise classes
and workshops qualify as continued professional development
for members
of industry associations, such as the Kahuna Training Guild
Australia and AAMT.

Course
Information for Certificate IV in Kahuna Bodywork (Relaxation)
On achievement of the Certificate
IV in Kahuna
Sciences the student is able to provide Kahuna
Relaxation
Bodywork without any supervision.
Certificate
IV training does not require any previous knowledge or experience.
Training can commence
at any time during the year.
Students are advised to commence some of their home study
in generic health subjects before attending a workshop,
although this is not a requirement.
International students must
start at the beginning of trimester.

All Certificate IV in Kahuna Bodywork units starting
with HLT or BSB are also units of the Certificate IV in Massage
Therapy Practice, thus students automatically qualify for credit
transfer between the 2 qualifications.
Students are expected to attend 2 residential
workshops of 12 days duration within a 15 months
period,
with home studies
in
between workshops. A one week student clinic is included in the
course.
The program can be completed
in a shorter timeframe or be distributed over longer time
for part
time students.
Statements of attainment will be issued for
partially achieved qualification.
If the student receives government assistance
(eg austudy) or is an international student, a clearly structured
timeframe must be adopted.
During the
workshops there will be plenty of opportunity to apply
all aspects of Kahuna
Principles to the
practice of Kahuna Relaxation
Bodywork.

On achievement of the Diploma of Kahuna
Bodywork the graduate is able to provide Kahuna Therapeutic Bodywork
at own clinic or any resort, clinic or spa.
Certificate IV needs to be completed before Diploma
training can commence.

for Advanced Diploma of Kahuna Sciences (Bodywork, Instructor
Training)
On achievement of the Advanced Diploma of Kahuna
Sciences the graduate is able to provide Kahuna Evolution
Bodywork at any health care
clinic and provide and lead Kahuna Exercise classes for personal
development and health.
The Diploma of Kahuna Bodywork needs to be completed
before Advanced Diploma training can commence.

2 weeks duration within a 9 months period, with home studies

between workshops.

achieved qualification.
If the student receives government assistance
(eg austudy) or is an international student, a clearly structured
timeframe over one year must be adopted.
During the workshops there will be plenty
of opportunity to practice workshop facilitation skills
and all aspects
of workshop
and
classes organisation.
